M1a- Stainless Loaded Model. NM stainless .308 barrel, tuned trigger (factory)- stock upgrade.

Per SA- this rifle was shipped 11/03.

I have had a socom (too short!) a standard (shot great!) and now the stainless loaded (very accurate!).

The stainless loaded model is that intermediate step between the standard and the national match, without the national match price tag. Upgrades are made to the stock and the two-stage trigger.

After these three that I have owned- I am going to pursue a scout/squad with the 18" barrel in hopes of that perfect model for my uses. Not too long or too short but still very maneuverable.

I ended up with this by helping a friend out who wanted to upgrade some tooling and purchased the rifle.

In his attempts to further accurize it- a different stock (bedded M1garand Boyd's) and scope bases were added. I am more of a traditionalist and purchased a set of fiberglass stocks to put on. It has been too cold to get out to the range and test for accuracy.

Maybe this next week things will slow down enough to give it a whirl and see what kind of difference it makes.

In the meantime- it can find a new home-thus justifying the "need" to locate and purchase a scout/squad model.

I am only asking the $1300 that I have invested in it. A battle pack (140 rds) of South African 147 grain can be added for $125- under the $1/round. There is some loose milsurp ammo that can be added if interested.

The only trades I would consider is the scout/squad, FAL (not century), or a factory-built AR10 in 308. Daniel Defense, Sig 716 or the like.
